How to make a Reservation

We have tried to make the reservation process as easy as possible. The following is a list of what needs to be done to be sure and get your reservation on the date of your choosing. Anyone can reserve camp up to a year in advance, and are recommended to be made no less than two (2) weeks before the requested rental date. The earlier the reservation the better the chance to get the date asked for.

Wondering on a Date

Call for availability. Telephone 580-762-9955

Fill out and turn in Rental Request Form

First thing to do is complete our Rental Request Form. There are two different ways to do this. This form in no way guarantees the date of a rental, but instead allows us to receive your information and try to get the date, or at least the closest date that you request. We ask that you fill out every section of the form for the fastest processing of your form.

The  next link below is a .PDF form that you may download to your computer, print it out and complete it by hand, then mail it to the address below.

The second way to obtain a Rental Request Form is by calling Camp McFadden at 580-762-9955 and we will send you a form by mail.

Mail the completed form to:

Camp McFadden
Attn: Reservations
PO Box 1495
Ponca City, OK 74602

When in doubt call Camp McFadden at 580-762-9955 and we will be glad to answer your questions.

Confirmation of Rental

After receiving your completed rental request form, Camp McFadden will contact you to confirm the date of your rental, or suggest other alternatives. You will then receive a letter of confirmation, a contract, and an invoice detailing your rental.

The Contract and Deposit

When you receive the Rental Contract, Camp McFadden requires that you send back the deposit and a signed copy of the Rental Contract as soon as possible. Your rental will not be confirmed until the cleaning deposit is received.

A rental request form is required for all pending reservations, until receipt of your cleaning deposit reservations are not confirmed.

Final Payment and Rental

All that is left is your rental. We do ask that your final balance to be paid two weeks prior to the date of your rental. You should receive a reminder in the mail or by email before this date.

Any group may cancel their rental prior to the date. A cancelation must occur at least a month in advance to receive the deposit back, any date closer to the rental date will result in the full amount of the deposit being kept. Cancelations should be made by phone.

Camp McFadden

This original sign was one of the only items brought to the new location when Kaw Lake was built in 1975. The other item sits over the fireplace in our lodge and commemorates the first year Camp McFadden was operational in 1927 as a Camp Fire Girls camp.

This photo gives you a perspective of the layout of our cabins and lodge. A short walk to the water, Camp McFadden has about 250 acres and sits on the western shore of Kaw Lake, 2 miles from the dam and 8 miles east of Ponca City, Oklahoma.

These cabins, 6 total, are for rent through out the year when Summer Camp is not in session, and share a common bath house. Each cabin has ten single beds and air conditioning. Recently remodeled they have new windows and insulation.

Summer Camp

During the heat of summer here in Oklahoma the Summer Campers spent countless hours in the waters of not just Kaw Lake but also our two ponds.
